Review | Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen

Hello lovelies. I'm actually writing this on Tuesday night & scheduling it to post now as I'm in uni early on Wednesday (today) & will probably be snoring & drooling in a lecture as you read this. Attractive, I know. Now, let's get that beautiful image of me out of your head...

I picked up the Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen a couple of weeks ago as I decided that my main goal in life was to master the cat eye effect eyeliner. Uni work could wait, this was an important mission. I hadn't heard anything about this eyeliner pen actually & simply bought it because it was the same one that my sister had. However, I'm extremely happy I bought this on impulse.

Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen | £6 | Available here

Now I haven't mastered liquid eyeliner yet but I also haven't blinded myself, so I'm taking that as a win.

The packaging of this eyeliner is really sturdy & also very luxurious looking in my opinion. This eyeliner pen itself is amazing as it's thin at the top but has a thicker edge so you can make the line as thin or thick as you like, making it idiot-proof for the likes of me, yay!

It's also very pigmented - one swipe is all you need. Some eyeliners I tried years ago honestly needed about three coats before the colour was dense enough but with this eyeliner one coat is all you need for complete opaque coverage which doesn't transfer on to the lids.

I think for £6 this eyeliner is very good value for money & I'm really happy I bought it. I would definitely recommend it to any liquid eyeliner fanatics on the lookout for a new one. As for me, the quest to create perfect flicked eyeliner continues...

What do you think of this product? Have you tried it?

So I went into Boots...

Why hello there! Hope you're all having a good Monday, I'm personally savouring my last week of freedom as I'm back at uni next week for a week before starting placement for 14 weeks - no Summer for us nurses unfortunately! Anyways, I ran into Boots the other day for a few things & I thought I'd show you what I bought!

Max Factor All Day Primer | £10.99 | Available here

I've heard great things about this primer so thought I'd pick it up. At £10.99 for 30ml of product I'd say it's really reasonable as the last primer I bought was the No7 Stay Perfect Primer which was £12.50 for a measly 20ml. Anything that promises to stop my foundation melting off my face is always going to be near the top of my list so hopefully this will do the trick! I plan on reviewing this soon.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation | £8.99 | Available here

As I've already mentioned, I'm starting a hospital placement in a few weeks & I'm obviously not going to wear expensive makeup when I'm working as it just feels like a waste, so I grabbed the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation in the shade "light porcelain". I've used this foundation before & loved it so it should do just fine for the long hospital shifts & make me look like I've actually had a good nights sleep when I haven't.

Maybelline Colour Tattoos | £4.99 each | Available here

Slightly late jumping on the bandwagon with these as I know they were a huge thing last year but ah well, I saw them & I wanted them! I already have the shade "metallic pomegranate" which I need to try out more but the other day I also picked up the shades "on and on bronze" & "pink gold". They just look so easy to do a quick wash of colour on the lids & are fairly idiot proof for a noob like me. I think the "pink gold" shade looks absolutely gorgeous & can't wait to use it. Again, a full review of these is planned for the near future.

Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen | £6.99 | Available here

I picked this up because I've decided this month I'm going to master the cat-eye eyeliner. It's happening. Every other attempt has left me looking like a drag queen who's been caught in the rain but this month I'm determined to get it right! I'll review this if any of my attemps are actually successful & if I can actually see afterwards as I can seriously envision myself impaling an eye.

Carex Moisture Plus Hand Gel | £1.45 each | Available here

The last thing I picked up was these hand sanitizer gels. As I keep droning on about, I'm starting hospital shifts soon & unfortunately the hospital hand gel just does not agree with my hands at all so I've been using these for my last few placements. This gel is great if you hate that "hand sanitizer gel" smell; because it contains moisturiser it actually smells really gorgeous & won't dry out your hands.

So there we have it! There were a few other things I wanted to pick up (my beloved Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer) but unfortunately I went shopping on a Saturday so most of the popular items were sold out. Do you have any of these products?
